Dear Applicant:
 
Any student who intends to participate in an education abroad experience may consider the below scholarship opportunities. Please pay particular attention to the eligibility criteria/preferences as you will be asked to confirm/submit supporting information within this application that indicate you meet these requirements.

Mahoney-Meriwether Study Abroad Fund Scholarship
Eligibility is limited to academically promising TCNJ students who exhibit financial need participating in a study abroad experience.
Preference will be given to:
  • Students who have studied a language other than English at TCNJ and will study that language or take classes in that language during their study abroad experience.
  • Students who are working towards a degree in more than one major or in a minor in addition to a major.
  • Students who are in the first generation from their family to attend college or otherwise come from a disadvantaged background.
Mario & Doris Laurenti International Study Scholarship
Eligibility is limited to full-time enrolled, high-achieving TCNJ students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 studying and/or conducting academic research in a developing country in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, or Latin America. Preference will be given to students who have studied the language of normal instruction where they are based.

Stephen Persche and Caitlin Ryan Persche Fund for International Study
This scholarship opportunity is open to all full-time students in good academic standing demonstrating financial need.

The Martha Smart Ferguson '69 Fund for International Experiences
This scholarship opportunity is open to all students in good academic standing demonstrating financial need.

Carla Faust Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship opportunity is open to all students applying to participate in an education abroad experience- study abroad, international internship and service learning program- where TCNJ credit will be granted. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need and an ability to learn, speak and write a second language.

TCNJ Access to Education Abroad Scholarship
Eligibility is limited to TCNJ students who are participating in an education abroad experience who exhibit significant financial need. Awards will range from $500 to $4000 depending upon unmet need and the number of eligible applicants for an award cycle.

All scholarship opportunities who have a eligibility criteria of financial need will be assessed using information found on the FAFSA form. If you have not filed a FAFSA follow this link to Financial Aid's webpage on instructions on how to do so.

Recipients of alumni endowed awards need to be willing to speak on campus about their international experiences upon their return and will be required to submit either a thank you letter or essay to the Office of College Advancement and the respective alumni/family.

Recipients of other funded awards need to be willing to share their experience in an oral or written format which may be used for promotional use by the Center for Global Engagement.

All materials should be submitted via this singular electronic application in order to be considered for these scholarship opportunities. All completed & submitted applications will be accepted by the Center for Global Engagement until the deadline noted has passed. Only completed applications will be reviewed and it is the student's responsibility to ensure that all application components are completed by the deadline.
